Evie

When one of our volunteers was walking home on New Years Eve, she stumbled upon this terrified dog hiding under a car near the river. It was very past midnight, and we were too full, but how could anybody leave this poor sick dog cowering in pouring rain from fireworks and drunk people? She managed to coax this extremely nervous dog out eventually and then carried her home to safety. Evie had terrible mange, and was extremely underweight, but she adjusted beautifully to life in our madhouse. She is partial to a ritz cracker or two, and loves to dance and give kisses. She got fluffy in no time!
